The front desk staff was rude and selective in who they helped. No one said a word to me after I checked in (10 minutes early). The staff began texting friends and conversating with other (late) patrons. The front desk girl seemed annoyed when I asked about my massage that was already over 15 minutes late. When my massage therapist finally did arrive, SHE was a HE! When I told the staff of this mix-up, the front desk attendant angrily informed me of MY mistake and that I, indeed, had requested a male! I most certainly had not! I had recently undergone surgery and was embarrassed of my healing scars- I was very specific in requesting a female therapist. After realizing I was not getting anywhere with her I reluctantly agreed to have my massage with the mediocre male therapist. After I was escorted to the converted hotel room I couldn't relax due to all of the street noise, the staff members laughing in the halls, the slamming of doors, and the cry of babies being dragged around by confused parents hastily trying to find their hotel rooms. Needless to say, it was an unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, it didn't stop there! When I received my credit card statement at the end of the month, the spa had charged me double the price. I was not unkind when I called and asked for a refund and was told I would be contacted the next day by someone in the office who could confirm the charge and reverse it. I was however VERY unkind when after TWO billing cycles and numerous phone calls I had still not been contacted, much less refunded! It was only after I sent management a letter threatening to take legal action did I get a refund of my money and a promotional card offering 10% off my next service- Sunday through Thursday, of course! No one from management actually spoke to me- EVER! What a joke! That entire "spa" is a joke. They have a saving grace in that Lauren. That woman knows her skincare and if it wasn't for her I would have written that place off a long time ago!

The remodeling is a pain, but if you are like me, you are just going for a great facial--the ambiance is just bonus, right? I've been seeing Liz for about a year now, and after each facial my skin is always glowing for days and days. She's just super fabulous. After I started seeing her, I started receiving so many compliments on my skin. I understand the concerns out tardiness...when I first started going to Spa on the Plaza, I had to wait forever for Lauren. However, in her defense, she gives amazing facials...and does FANTASTIC eyebrows. If you are patient, she is worth the wait. I trust the gals there, they knows tons about skin care, and always make me feel welcome. I highly recommend!
Pros: glowing skin
Cons: kinda pricey, but worth it!
